Who We Are

Our mission is to enhance the health outcomes of black and brown mothers and infants.

We start by standing with you, dear mothers.

Regardless of the form motherhood takes for you, your voice serves as our guide as we navigate the challenges of a system marred by oppression and a society marked by prejudice.

We're a close-knit community that provides a holistic approach to prenatal, birth, and postpartum support, aiming to enhance your journey with the best possible experience and outcomes.

About the Founder

Saya Arriaga is a dedicated and compassionate birth worker with a rich background in holistic healing practices. Her journey into the world of healing began in 2018 when she became a certified Reiki practitioner, and her commitment deepened with her Reiki Master training in 2019. With a passion for supporting birthing women, Saya has trained extensively as a birth doula with San Diego County Midwives and Carriage House Birth, where she is currently completing her certification.

In addition to her doula training, Saya is a certified Placenta Encapsulator, helping new mothers benefit from the nutrients and potential health advantages of placentophagy. She is also in the process of certifying as a Flower Essence Therapist, further broadening her holistic approach to care.

Saya’s dedication to holistic healing is evident in her studies in trauma-informed somatic healing and breathwork at MINKA School of Mystery. This education equips her with the knowledge and skills to create a safe, nurturing, and transformative environment for her clients.

Understanding that birth in America is often rooted in fear, particularly in a society where generational trauma and pain are stored in our bodies, Saya aims to support women and birthing people from a holistic perspective. Her goal is to support the healing of the Soul, enabling a more positive and empowering birth experience.

With her blend of traditional and holistic practices, Saya Arriaga is committed to providing comprehensive, compassionate care, ensuring that every birthing person feels supported, empowered, and cherished throughout their journey.
